WHAT IS COUNSELLING?

Counselling is a talking therapy.
Counsellors are trained in active listening. They will not tell you what to do, or judge you, but work with you to gain increased understanding and awareness, helping you to find ways to cope and deal with any concerns.
Clients can explore their issues and situation by having time and space in a neutral,  safe and confidential environment.

Some of the reasons people seek counselling are:

  • Relationship difficulties
  • Depression
  • Anxiety
  • Stress
  • Panic
  • Low self esteem
  • Bereavement and loss
  • Sexuality
  • Trauma
  • Discrimination
  • Illness

In each session you are provided with a safe space to share and explore thoughts and feelings, you will set the pace and bring only what you are ready to bring to therapy.

  • Explore what’s on your mind
  • Have opportunity to work through emotions
  • Be listened to not judged
  • Gain perspective and understanding of what is happening in life

I offer a warm, empathic and confidential service.
You may gain insight into patterns of relationships/behaviors, increased self-awareness, improved self-confidence and feel more able to face challenges.
